Dr Janet Brennan lives in Barholm Castle, which she and her husband restored from a ruin in 2005. She was a member of the Board of Historic Environment Scotland for 8 years and is now a trustee of the National Trust for Scotland. She is currently working on her third book about Scottish castles. She will be talking tonight about her latest one, on the Victorian architects MacGibbon and Ross.

David MacGibbon and Thomas Ross were Scottish architects who published a book in five volumes "The Castellated and Domestic Architecture of Scotland from the Twelfth to the Eighteenth Century" between 1887 and 1892 which described 769 Scottish castles, a truly monumental feat.
