The Moths of Dumfries and Galloway - an introduction and results from recent research.

Meeting date
Speaker(s)

Peter and Rosie Norman

Emporer moth, Knowetop Lochs

Peter Norman has recently retired after a 35 year career as an ecologist with various organisations in Dumfries and Galloway. He has been surveying and recording moths in the region for most of that time and will provide an update on his recent research projects, including a long running study at Carrifran Wildwood near Moffat. He will also (hopefully) be joined by his daughter, Rosie Norman for part of the talk, a zoology graduate who has been researching moth responses to forestry management for her Masters project in Ecology and Environmental Biology at the University of Glasgow.
