SCAMP – Landscape Connections is a seascape scale nature restoration project looking to restore 5 habitats including; saltmarsh, seagrass, coastal woodlands, oyster reefs and sand dunes over the 210 miles of Solway’s coastline.

It is a very ambitious project involving 7 different nature based organisations, passionate communities and a team of talented people from many different backgrounds keen to work together to help our coastal environments face the challenges the future presents.

Dr Jan Hogarth is “Learning, People and Communications officer for the SCAMP project and will share with us more about the plans for this 8 year project including why SCAMP is so important for nature, climate and people.

Jan was born and brought up in rural Annandale and originally studied sculpture and then environmental art, and has through her career worked as a lecturer, public art manager (Landscape based), environmental artist, teacher and education officer for the Galloway Glens Project before working on SCAMP.
